Weight-loss games to target women: wii

Nintendo Wii Fit is adding-on to the gaming system specially to appeal to women desperately looking to lose weight.

To acquire the attention of their target customers, the company has already hawked massive marketing campaigns in US and Europe, which includes a public-relations effort, Television, outdoor and prints as well. The Wii Fit is a bold move by Nintendo, intended at broadening the gaming market for women shifting which is dominated by younger men.


The Wii has been a smash hit among everyone from kids to old age since its release to the extent that it witnesses stock-out in United States. Japan epitomised the grand success of the Wii Fit, the much craved and popular among youth.

The Balance Board resembles the bathroom scales keeps track a user's weight and body-mass index. The $90 attachment expands the range of games that can be played on the Wii to include activities such as yoga, Aerobic 10-minute exercises that are designed to get the heart pumping, Muscle Conditioning for arms, legs and other body parts. Still, the new product is much an item of speculation, because we really don’t know how Nintendo will survive moving from core young-male gamers to females, it might be turn off for them that Mom and girls think the Wii Fit is cool.
