Shopkeeper suspect to be running out of Nintendo Wii Fit boards by Christmas!

If UK telegraph is to believe than probably shopkeepers selling Nintendo wii fit board probably run out of boards by Christmas. Moreover the kind of response currently in the market is taken into consideration than it is not incredible that for the vast majority of people, Wii Fit is already sold out.

The article even reported the quotes of a spokesperson for one of the UK's largest electrical retailers saying that if they get 1,000 orders in one or two day then they are all gone by Sunday. This means they are done with their sales target of the year.

For the time being the issue is to find out the reasons for an ongoing shortage of stock. Is it simply a case of demand surpassing supply? Or just a case of reselling by the customers on eBay market for making few bucks.

We had thought that Nintendo has take lesson from the Wii console launch and ensured enough stock this time But no one really know that its an artificial shortage deliberated to induce customers buying more. Whatever, it is actually going to work in Nintendo's wii fit favour. You've got to love a good conspiracy.

The whole conspiracy theory thing received a comment from Nintendo.com confirming 'intentional shortage'. He said in the case of limited supply of something, a company will shift that stock to where it makes most financial sense. He completely ostracised the 'intentional shortage', that's business strategy he said.
